Archipel des corps brings together artists who explore the body not as a stable unit, but as a collection of fragments and disjointed presences. Through painting, sculpture, design and photography, the exhibition explores a shifting, hybrid, sometimes vulnerable anatomy, traversed by desire and anxiety. Conceived as an archipelago, the exhibition maps out territories connected by invisible currents.

Nefeli Papadimouli, The World in my Mouth, 2023
The works brought together in this Archipel des corps echo the tale of Alice in Wonderland, in which the heroine must constantly grow or shrink to adapt to an unstable universe. Like her, we sometimes have to adjust our size and change our state in order to continue moving forward in this world. In the 21st century, this instability also takes the form of a continuous flow of images. The body is no longer just experienced: it is projected and carried away by the waves of screens. The exhibition does not offer a direct critique of these devices, but questions the distance necessary between oneself and one’s image in order not to dissolve into it.
